Rated the top waxing salon in Alexandria — and the Brazilian is why.
What makes ours different
Waxing only
No nails, no hair, no fillers. Every esthetician is licensed and trained on our technique before taking a client.
Premium hard wax
Grips the hair, not the skin. Fresh stick every time — never double-dipped.
A private room, always
One client at a time, door closed. No judgment about how long it’s been.
Two minutes to book
Your card is held to reserve the slot, never charged. Reschedule free.

- 1Minutes 1–3The quick chat
You say what style you want and flag anything that matters. She steps out while you undress from the waist down.
- 2Minutes 3–5Prep
The area is cleansed and a pre-wax oil goes on so the wax grabs hair, not skin.
- 3Minutes 5–22The wax
Warm hard wax in small sections, off in one motion — no cloth strips. She warns you before each pull and presses the skin right after.
- 4Minutes 22–27The detail
We tweeze strays and clean the edges, so you leave actually smooth.
- 5Minutes 27–30Done
Calming gel, get dressed, aftercare chat. Most people head straight back to work.
Does it hurt?
A bit — mostly the first time. Each pull is a sharp second, and it gets easier fast.
How clients describe it, visit by visit
Illustrative — based on what clients tell us, not measured data.
Hair grows back finer and sparser. Coming back every four to six weeks keeps it on one growth cycle.

Before you come in
Time it away from your period if you can — skin is more sensitive then. If it's unavoidable, come anyway.
Skip for 24 hours after
Then exfoliate gently from day three — that's what separates people who get ingrowns from people who don't.
When to reschedule
Please rebook if you
- Use a retinoid on the area (Retin-A, tretinoin, retinol) — stop 7–14 days before. These thin the skin's surface and waxing over them can lift skin.
- Have taken Accutane in the last six months.
- Have had a peel, laser, or microdermabrasion in the area recently.
- Are sunburned, or have broken skin or an active rash there.
Pregnant, very sensitive, or unsure? Call (202) 552-1650 — we’d rather move your appointment than give you a bad result.

Questions
How long does hair need to be?
About a quarter inch — roughly a grain of rice. If you’ve been shaving, two to three weeks of growth. Shorter and the wax can’t grip; much longer and it’s more uncomfortable than it needs to be.
How long does it last?
Three to four weeks for most people, up to six for some. Regrowth is soft and sparse rather than stubble. Rebooking every four to six weeks keeps you on one growth cycle.
Can I come on my period?
Yes — just wear a tampon or a cup. Skin is a bit more sensitive right before and during, so if you have flexibility, a week after tends to be more comfortable.
Can I get waxed while pregnant?
Generally yes, and plenty of our clients do — skin is just more sensitive. Mention it when you book so your esthetician can adjust. Check with your doctor if you have concerns.
Is it embarrassing?
Not to us. Your esthetician does this dozens of times a week. There is nothing about your body, your hair, or how long it’s been that she hasn’t seen many times before. Most first-timers say the anticipation was worse than the appointment.
Do you double-dip?
Never. A fresh applicator every time it touches your skin, no exceptions.
What if I use retinol or Retin-A?
Stop using it on the area 7–14 days before. Retinoids thin the surface layer of skin and waxing over them can lift skin. If you’ve taken Accutane in the last six months, we’ll need to wait.
How do I stop ingrown hairs?
Exfoliate gently two to three times a week starting a few days after, and keep the skin moisturized. Consistent waxing helps too — the follicle weakens over time. Full guide.
Do I need to pay anything to book?
No. We hold a card to reserve your appointment, but it is never charged — you pay at the studio after your wax. Booking takes under two minutes, and you can reschedule free.
Do you wax men?
Yes — see our men’s waxing services. Most of what we do is women’s waxing, and Brazilians are booked in the same private rooms either way.
What's the difference between a Brazilian and a bikini wax?
A bikini wax takes only what shows outside a swimsuit. A Brazilian takes everything, front to back, with your choice of what’s left in front. Barely There sits in between.
