Do
Come with clean lashes and no mascara. An oil-free remover the night before is enough.
Book a full set on a weekday if you can. It is a long appointment and the weekend slots go first.
Bring a photo. It is the fastest way to tell us what you mean by natural.
Skip
No water, steam or sweat on your lashes for 24 hours. That is when the curl and the bond set.
No oil-based cleansers, removers or eye creams while you have extensions. Oil is what breaks the bond.
Do not pick or pull. A pulled extension takes your own lash with it.
Questions we get
Lash lift or extensions, which should I get?
If your own lashes have decent length and you mainly want them to open up, a lift and tint does it with no upkeep in between. If you want length and density that is not there naturally, extensions are the only thing that adds it. We will tell you which one your lashes will actually take.
How long does a lash lift last?
4 to 6 weeks. It grows out with your own lashes rather than dropping suddenly, so there is no awkward stage.
How often do extensions need topping up?
Every 2 to 4 weeks. Your natural lashes shed on their own cycle and take the extension with them, so a set thins gradually rather than falling out at once. A re-lash is $100 for Flirty and $125 for Glam Volume, priced that way within 2 weeks of your full set. Come in later and it depends on what is left. If most of your set is still on we can re-lash it, and if it is not, it is a full set again.
Do I need a patch test?
No. There is a short consent form to complete before your first appointment, and that is all.
Will extensions ruin my natural lashes?
Not when they are applied one lash to one lash, which is how we do it. Damage comes from lashes being glued together, from sets that are too heavy for the natural lash, and from picking. Do not pick.
Can I wear mascara with extensions?
You will not need it, and oil-based or waterproof mascara will break the bond. If you want a little more, a water-based mascara on the tips only is safe.
Can I get a lash lift if I already have extensions?
No. A lift works on your natural lash, so any extensions have to come off first.
How long is a full set appointment?
2 hours for a Flirty set and up to 3 and a half hours for Glam Volume. Every lash is placed by hand, so there is no shortcut. Weekdays are the easiest time to fit one in.
